Melissa is a Costa Rican entrepreneur whose life and career have been rooted in the coastal communities of Guanacaste. Born and raised in Costa Rica, she chose to build her life on the North Pacific coast after completing her studies in San José, drawn by the ocean, nature and the lifestyle that defines the region she now calls home.
Her professional journey began in hospitality, where she progressed from hotel and restaurant roles into concierge services and departmental leadership within a beach resort community. These years shaped her instinct for client care, attention to detail, and operational excellence, foundations that later guided her transition into entrepreneurship.
Eighteen years ago, Melissa founded My Guanacaste Vacation, a boutique vacation rental company serving international homeowners along the Guanacaste coast. She has since overseen hundreds of properties and currently manages a diverse portfolio of homes and villas.
This extensive hands-on experience provides her with uncommon insight into how coastal properties live, perform, and are maintained over time, perspective that directly informs her real estate advisory work.
Melissa has developed particular depth within Reserva Conchal through years of daily involvement with homes, owners, and guests, while her broader experience across Guanacaste allows her to guide clients confidently throughout the North Pacific region, whether they are exploring resort living, second homes, or relocation.
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with conversational Italian, Melissa works seamlessly with international buyers and understands both local culture and global expectations. Her background across hospitality, property management, vacation rentals, and real estate allows her to advise clients from both lifestyle and investment perspectives.
Melissa lives in Conchal with her husband and two soccer-loving sons and spends much of her time outdoors, connected to the natural environment and community that shape daily life in Guanacaste.
