Situated in the beachside community of Playa Avellanas and walkable to Playa Lagartillo beach, the Drift Away Lodge offers you a fantastic income opportunity near some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and uncrowded beaches. This boutique resort is a relaxing oasis where your guests can unwind and connect with nature. The resort was designed to have a minimal impact on the environment. Most of the materials used in construction were locally sourced, and recycled materials were used wherever possible. The swimming pool uses a UV and ionization cleaning and filtration process to minimize the use of harmful chemicals.
Nestled in a tropical paradise full of shady palms, the 5000m2 resort currently has two sides to it. Side A has 8 rooms (4 King, 2 Queen, 2 Double-Twins), 4 two-bedroom private villas, a large resort pool, an enclosed outdoor yoga shala, a large restaurant with outdoor dining area, a smoothie bar, air conditioned office space, and storage space for beach fun equipment. Side B contains 4 duplexes each with single rooms, a 2 bedroom home, a 3 bedroom 2-story home, a second pool, all lushly landscaped. Total of 30 beds and 25 full bath and 4 half bath.
All of the accommodations are decorated in a clean and simple style with furniture made by local craftsmen, touches of driftwood, and accented with calming colors. Each is outfitted with comfortable memory foam mattresses, plush hypo-allergenic feather pillows, air conditioning, a private bathroom, tables and chairs, and appliances for making tea or coffee. The 2 twin rooms, 2 queen rooms and 4 king rooms have mini-fridges. The 4 villas have 2 bedrooms each (1 king and 2 singles) and have stoves, refrigerators, and televisions.
